Most people attending church come with the attitude of what's in it for me. This is not surprising, infact this is the attitude that we have about most things in our lives. Think about why you work where you work, why you hang out with people you do, the people that are your best friends, the person you chose to be your husband or wife.
So you've come to church and deep down inside you're wondering, "what's in it for me". Well, at Rural Chapel we believe the answer to that question is "faith, fun, meaning, and more". The reasons you go to church might be to seek out a deeper relationship with God. Maybe you're going through a difficult time in your life and something inside you urged you to come. Maybe you've been invited by a friend or a neighbor and you've come for them or maybe you've come to see just what it is that makes them want to attend.
Eventually, we hope that it is that faith in the God that created everything, and you want to come and worship Him and grow in your relationship with Him.
But now that you're here, we want you to have fun, God wants us to have fun and joy in our lives. We hope that in being part of our church (your extended family) you will find that.
Still couldn't you go to alot of places to have fun? This is why without finding a meaning in your relationship with God and place to help you continue to grow, you might stop attending. We believe that through fellowship in the church and taking part in the activities you can discover that meaning, that peace to help you stay grounded in your life.
Lastly, there's so much more you'll find at Rural Chapel. We have a variety of activities, like praise music, working with various youth programs, men and womens programs and cell groups.
Whatever reason brings you into our church, we want you to feel welcome and most of all we want to be with you as you discover how much God loves you and as you build that relationship with Him.
