Children’s Music & Movement, under the direction of Gale LeVan, makes it possible for students pre-K through high school to develop a love for serving the Lord through music & movement performance.
The Pre-K Choir, coordinated by Missy Billy and Kelly Susey meets each Sunday at 9 A.M. during their God Stuff class and performs once-a-month at the 9 A.M. service. The songs and motions for the pre-K’s are age-appropriate, related to their class curriculum and are above all, fun!
The Young People’s Choir (YPC), for kindergarten through 5th graders, meets each Sunday between services from approximately 10- 10:30 A.M. YPC also performs once-a-month for the congregation, alternating between the 9 & 10:45 A.M. services. Presentations by YPC include upbeat melodies, Biblically significant lyrics and movement designed to enhance the meaning for both the choir and the congregation.
The Teen Choir (TC) for middle and high school students is a student-oriented ensemble and meets each Sunday from 10:45- 11:15 A.M. TC performs for the congregation several times a year, presenting works by contemporary Christian artists, relevant to teen culture.
All age groups may also participate in a Christmas musical, with opportunities for actors, singers, dancers and crew, to share the Christmas Story in a whole new way!
Children’s Music & Movement embodies all facets of Rural Chapel’s mission of Faith, Fun, Meaning & More as the students confidently grow in their knowledge of the Lord, while having fun singing and dancing with their friends!
